The forum "30 Years of Unity and Accord" dedicated to the Day of Thanksgiving and the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held in Kokshetau.
The event began with the unveiling of a memorial plaque dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov, Assembly veterans and representatives of the older generation.
The regional governor read a congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the participants.
Speaking to the gathered audience, Marat Akhmetzhanov noted that Kazakhstan is a bright example of peace and accord. He also noted that the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is a unique institution that contributes to strengthening the unity of the country, friendship and stability, and expressed gratitude to the members of the Assembly and citizens who make an invaluable contribution to the development of a multinational society.
"Ethnocultural associations in the Akmola region have also made a great contribution to strengthening the unity of the country, strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations," M. Akhmetzhanov.
During the event, active members of ethnocultural associations and public organizations were awarded. Among them are veterans of the Akmola regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Amangeldy Syzdykov and Zhamul Muskhanov.
"The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is a unique platform where representatives of different nationalities live in harmony. Unity and harmony are the basis of the stability and prosperity of our country. We must preserve these values ​​and pass them on to future generations," he noted.
The forum ended with a concert program with the participation of creative collectives of the region.
It should be noted that the Akmola regional Assembly includes more than 40 ethnocultural associations, 104 councils of mothers, and 21 councils of elders. In addition, a scientific and expert group, a mediation office, a journalists' club, a union of masters of decorative and applied arts, a regional representative office of the republican public association "Assembly Youth", a center for the promotion and development of the state language, and an association of entrepreneurs work systematically in the region.
