Thanksgiving Day, March 1, is a day to express gratitude to those who, through their labor, efforts, and initiatives, contribute to strengthening the unity, integrity, and interethnic harmony of the country's people. A regional forum "Humanity is a noble quality" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held in the House of Friendship of Karaganda. 

The main event of the meeting was the unveiling of the memorial plaque "30 years of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan".

The Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in the region - Akim of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev read out the congratulations of the Head of State on the Day of Thanksgiving gave. He also congratulated the participants on his own behalf.

– We were one of the first to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Over the years of its establishment, the Assembly has become an important link in our society. This has been a path full of mutual respect, cooperation and support, – said the regional akim, noting the multinationality of the region, where representatives of more than 100 nationalities live. – I would like to thank all the participants in the hall for their efforts to strengthen peace and harmony.

Yermaganbet Bolekpayev presented letters of gratitude to the veterans and activists of the Assembly. 

Among the awardees is Gyulaga Vekil-oglu Rzayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijani National Cultural Center "Namus". He recalled the tragic period in the history of the Azerbaijani people - the deportation of 1928 - and expressed gratitude to the Kazakh people.

– No matter how many years pass, the Azerbaijani people will remember this, - noted Gulaga Vekil-oglu. - We live in peace, regardless of nationality and religion. This is our most important value and a great happiness for Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the forum, Liliya Kim, the chairman of the Karaganda region's ethnic and cultural association of Koreans, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, launched the "Caravan of Charity" charity campaign. Representatives of the region's ethnic and cultural associations joined her. As part of the campaign, assistance was provided to Mukhametali Isayin, a student of the Karaganda Technical and Construction College.

“Not everyone is given the opportunity to become a member of the Assembly. We have our own special spirit,” Liliya Kim noted. “When we are together, we are capable of much. We have proven this many times. Therefore, I always say, do not get tired of doing good.” I would like to say this especially to the younger generation.

The chairwoman of the Balkhash Mothers' Council, Almira Musina, expressed her full support for the campaign and announced that after the forum, the council representatives would visit the city's maternity hospitals to congratulate the children born on March 1.

Many warm words were said at the forum to representatives of various professions and industries, and special thanks were expressed to the Kazakh people for their hospitality and support during difficult periods of history.

The chairman of the "Breath of Life" association of transplant patients, Zhanibek Uspanov, expressed gratitude to the donors for their invaluable contribution to saving lives. Asylbek Rakhymbekov, an employee of the Nura district car park, expressed his gratitude to his mentors.

The ethnocultural associations of the region have prepared the exhibition "Saryarka flourishing in unity" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. 

According to Ermaganbet Bolekpayev, he will visit all the cities and districts of the Karaganda region.

At the end of the forum, the participants laid wreaths at the Independence Stele.

The celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan continues: more than 100 events dedicated to the Day of Thanksgiving are planned in the Karaganda region.
