On the instructions of the Head of State, the construction of the first national school "ABAI ULTTYQ MEKTEBI" has begun. This project is aimed at creating a unique educational environment for talented children of Kazakhstan. During a working trip to Almaty, the Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev got acquainted with the construction of the school.
The school is designed for 900 students and includes a boarding school for children, a teachers' house, a library, and a sports complex. It is planned to open this year.
The concept of the new educational organization is based on Abai's philosophy, including the idea of ​​"five noble deeds".
The creation of "ABAI ULTTYQ MEKTEBI" is one of the most important strategic steps in the development of domestic education, which is aimed at educating a new generation of intellectuals who are well aware of their origin, fluent in several languages, and able to withstand global challenges," the minister noted.
An important step in the implementation of the project is the development of a unified educational program "ABAY-Programme". It is based on the formation of a multilingual, intellectual and national personality. The school also establishes a partnership with the leading pedagogical higher education institution of the country - the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. As part of the cooperation, the "Abai Laboratory" was created, which will become a methodological and scientific research center in the field of humanitarian education.

On March 1 - World Civil Defense Day, an exhibition and an Open Day for visitors were organized to introduce the forces and equipment of the Emergency Situations Department. Guests and residents of the city got acquainted with the daily work of rescuers and received answers to their questions. Children, who were especially interested in the tools and equipment of the rescue service, also expressed their dreams and wishes that "I want to work in this field when I grow up."
According to Nurzhan Nurkhanuly, Head of the Civil Defense Department of the Shymkent City Emergency Situations Department, the professional holiday of the industry workers, which coincides with Thanksgiving Day, is also celebrated in a special way every year. This year, the event, organized under the slogan "Civil Defense - the Guarantee of Public Safety", will not end with today's open day.

In March, civil defense events will be organized in all educational institutions, healthcare facilities and akimats in the city, as well as in industrial facilities, in order to ensure the safety of the population and the territory. And today, during the open day held on the territory of the central circus in Shymkent, the Emergency Rescue Team, the Disaster Medical Center, and firefighter equipment and tools were exhibited.
"The purpose of our event is not only to give a festive mood, but also to awaken patriotic feelings in the younger generation. Because today, children who have seen the work of rescuers with their own eyes and felt their hearts will strive to serve the country diligently when they grow up. "As you can see, today we are introducing our work to the public, widely announcing and explaining what tools and equipment we use," the head of the department said.
In the future, such open days will continue in all fire departments in Shymkent. Today, 56 people, 8 pieces of equipment, and 10 young volunteers from the structural divisions of the Emergency Situations Department are attending the exhibition and helping to conduct explanatory work for the public.
