A 20 MW solar power plant will be built in the Mangystau district in order to develop renewable energy sources.
The project, which began in the direction of the "Kaspijtsement" production site in the village of Shetpe, will increase the energy independence of the region and allow for the production of environmentally friendly electricity.
The district akim Galymzhan Niyazov visited the construction site and met with representatives of the contractor "Stellar Energy". The progress of the project, the construction period and the future scope of the station were discussed.
The company's management said that it will spend 5.678 billion tenge on the implementation of the project. It was announced that the construction work on the project, which has just begun, will be completed in June. The district akim says that this investment project will bring great benefits to the country.
- The head of state gave an instruction to attract investment in the necessary areas of regional development. With the support of the regional akim, a solar power plant project has been launched in the district. Today, many countries are experiencing a shortage of electricity. Given the possibility of creating additional new jobs, I believe this is one of the most necessary investment projects, - said Galymzhan Niyazov.
During the construction period, there are plans to employ 100 local villagers, and 10 people with permanent jobs when the station starts operating at full capacity. This will open up a new source of employment for the local population and give impetus to the development of the green economy in the region.
