The "Daryn" RSP of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has concluded the republican stage of the republican competition of scientific projects in general education subjects.
The main goal of the competition is to stimulate the scientific and research and educational and cognitive activities of students, select and support talented young researchers, as well as form the intellectual potential of the country.
About 900 students competed in the final republican stage of the competition, including 132 students from rural areas. The participation of rural students in the educational competition has increased by 112.9 percent this year, compared to 62 students last year.
The competition was held in two stages: in natural science and mathematics subjects and in social and humanitarian subjects.
The jury of the competition included professors and scientists from prestigious universities of the country.
According to the award results, 263 students were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees in natural science and mathematics, and 148 students were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees in social and humanitarian subjects. In addition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded 32 rector's grants to the country's leading universities.
The best projects in the natural science and mathematics disciplines will represent Kazakhstan at the Regeneron ISEF-2024 World Science and Technology Exhibition, which will be held in the USA (Ohio, Columbus) on May 10-16.
