Last week, the Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Kudaibergenov held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Croatia led by the Deputy of the Croatian Parliament Zvonimir Troskot. The bilateral negotiations were attended by the Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vera Kim, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia Refik Shabanovic, as well as deputies of the Croatian Parliament.
During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of Kazakh-Croatian relations and noted their mutual interest in further developing trade and economic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the issues of increasing the volume of bilateral trade and implementing investment projects.
Vice Minister Bauyrzhan Kudaibergenov noted the significant potential for a multiple increase in trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Croatia in the next five years. He spoke in detail about the priorities of the Government of Kazakhstan for economic diversification and noted the relevance of the Concept of Investment Policy until 2029. Within the framework of this concept, a new approach is aimed at attracting investment, taking into account the needs of specific industries.
The head of the Croatian delegation, Zvonimir Troskot, confirmed that his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan in such strategically important areas as the oil and gas industry, energy, agriculture, transport, as well as deepening trade and investment ties.
The parties agreed to maintain regular contacts in order to strengthen bilateral partnership and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. The Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan acts as the working body of the Kazakh part of the Kazakh-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
