The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, have developed an order on the implementation of a pilot project to introduce a special mechanism for providing state services for determining disability. This will simplify this procedure for several nosologies.
The special mechanism for conducting a medical and social examination in an external proactive format provides for the simplification of the procedure for determining disability by sending medical documents to a single expert outside the territory. Previously, this procedure was carried out with the participation of three experts.
Also, during proactive external certification, the terms of providing public services will be reduced from three working days to one working day.
This mechanism will be used in the pilot project for three nosological forms in cases of irreversible changes and disorders of body functions due to diseases, injuries and defects:
– amputation and (or) absence of a limb;
– Down syndrome (syndrome);
– mucopolysaccharidosis in children.
