In Kostanay region, a meeting was held between the regional akim Kumar Aksakalov and representatives of the Chinese company WEINENGDA IMPORT AND EXPORT (HUBEI) CO., LTD. Vice President of the company Li Shan Fin took part from the Chinese side. During the negotiations, the possibility of building a wagon repair depot in the village of Tobol in the Beyimbet Maylin district was discussed.

The regional akim emphasized that Kostanay region is developing in three key areas:
•automotive industry,
•ferrous metallurgy,
•processing of agricultural products.

The development of these industries requires modern transport and logistics infrastructure. If the project is implemented, the wagon repair depot will become an important element of the region's railway system, providing technical maintenance of rolling stock and production of spare parts for railway transport.

Kostanay region continues to strengthen its industrial base and actively attracts investors to strategically important projects. Issues of cooperation with Chinese partners are under discussion, detailed development of the conditions for possible interaction is underway.

The regional leadership is interested in the development of modern industrial and infrastructure facilities that will create new jobs, strengthen the region’s economy and increase its investment attractiveness.
