Celebration of Nauryz Took Place at the Musikverein of Vienna

Vienna, March 24, 2025 – a grand concert dedicated to the main spring holiday, Nauryz Meyrami, was held in the Brahms Hall of the world-renowned Musikverein of Vienna. The celebration, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Akimat of Atyrau Region, brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, media, business and cultural circles of Austria, as well as members of the Kazakh diaspora and students living in Vienna.
Opening the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Akim of Atyrau Region, Daryn Shamuratov, and a representative of the Kazakh diaspora in Austria, Anar Adilbekova, emphasized the significance of Nauryz as a symbol of renewal, unity, and friendship among nations.
The festive evening was adorned with performances by artists from the folk philharmonic "Murager" and the dance ensemble "Іnzhу-Мarzhan." They presented the audience with a colorful program filled with folk music and dances. Talented artists performed both traditional and contemporary Kazakh songs and kuis. The audience was particularly delighted by the famous compositions "Torzhorga," "Aq Zhauyn," as well as the folk songs "Kozinin Moldiri ai" and "Oi Kok." Musicians played these compositions on national instruments such as the dombra, zhetygen, and kobyz, and also impressed the guests with interpretations of well-known Austrian musical pieces.
Nauryz Meyrami, symbolizing spring awakening and harmony, became a vivid example of cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and Austria, contributing to the strengthening of friendly ties and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
