In Almaty, at the Central Army Sports Club, the open Sambo Championship of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place. The tournament was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova.

The final team standings were as follows:

1st place – CSKA

2nd place – National Guard

3rd place – Special Operations Forces

In addition to team achievements, National Guard servicemen demonstrated outstanding results in individual competitions:

In the up to 71 kg category, 3rd place was taken by Private Nursultan Nurseitov (military unit 6654).

In the over 98 kg category, 3rd place – Private Sanzhar Zhabbоrov (military unit 5573).

In the up to 88 kg category, 1st place – Private Azat Kuanov (military unit 6655).

In the up to 98 kg category, 1st place – Private Bolat Sapar (military unit 5451).

The champions shared their impressions of the competition.

"The preparation for the championship was very intense, but it all paid off. This tournament was not only a test of strength and spirit for me but also an opportunity to defend the honor of the National Guard. I am grateful to the High Command and coaches for their support," said champion Azat Kuanov.

Among the honorary guests of the tournament were members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, leaders of law enforcement agencies, and renowned athletes. A total of 28 teams from various security forces of the country participated in the competition.

The National Guard demonstrated combat spirit and unwavering determination, proving that its members are always ready to win.
