Kazakhstan-Belarus inter-ministerial consultations on consular issues were held with the participation of representatives from the competent authorities of both countries.

The Kazakh delegation was led by Azamat Aubekov, Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Belarusian side was headed by Andrey Kozhan, Head of the Main Consular Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of topics related to bilateral cooperation in the consular field. One of the key issues addressed was the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of both republics, as well as the exchange of information regarding nationals serving sentences in the other country.

The Committee for the Penitentiary System was represented by Timur Vyacheslavovich Zhantemirov, Head of the Headquarters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed the corresponding Protocol and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across the full spectrum of consular relations.
