As part of a working visit, the city mayor visited the “Auezhai” microdistrict to review the plans for landscaping and improvement works scheduled for 2025. During the visit, the city head paid special attention to addressing a number of pressing issues raised by local residents.

To recall, in 2023, the regional Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Regulation initiated a project to clean and improve Lake “Tarelochka.” However, due to the negligence of an irresponsible contractor, the project was temporarily suspended. Legal proceedings are currently underway. The city administration, in cooperation with the department, has decided to hold a new tender, select a new contractor, and complete the project this year.

The “Sayabak” park is one of the favorite recreation spots for residents of the “Auezhai” microdistrict. This year, benches and trash bins will be updated, and landscaping work will begin. A contractor has already been selected, and preparations for the work are underway.

Another important issue raised by residents on social media is the poor condition of the area surrounding the newly built comfortable school. As part of the city’s spring clean-up campaign, contractors have been instructed to urgently tidy up the area. The scope of work includes restoring damaged sections, improving sidewalks and pedestrian paths, and removing construction debris left after the completion of the school.

In addition, this year the improvement of two educational institution territories is planned. One of them is School No. 29 named after Alikhan Bokeikhan. The area around the school will undergo comprehensive landscaping, with benches, walking paths, sports and playgrounds being installed for both students and nearby residents.

Furthermore, in May, repair work will begin on a two-kilometer stretch of Gerasimov Street, as well as two pedestrian crossings totaling 500 meters in length. Street lighting will be installed in previously unlit areas, and the infrastructure will be fully renovated. The roadwork is expected to be completed by the end of June.

The main goal of these improvement efforts is to create a comfortable and safe urban environment for residents.
