Applications for scholarships under the "Bolashak" and "Scientific Internships" programs have begun
Applications for participation in the competitive selection for the award of scholarships under the "Bolashak" program will begin on March 3 and end on October 17.
The competitive selection will be held from April 1 to December 31, 2025. Applications for the "Bolashak" scholarship are accepted through the egov.kz portal. When training personnel abroad, priority is given to engineering, technical and medical specialties.
In 2025, 645 scholarships were allocated for study under the "Bolashak" program. Of these, 411 scholarships were awarded for master's programs, 41 scholarships for doctoral studies/residency, and 193 scholarships for internships.
The list of priority specialties was formed on the basis of applications from central and local government bodies, taking into account the forecast of the economy's need for personnel by the authorized state body in the field of social protection of the population. This will allow applicants to study abroad in the most popular specialties, which are available on the website of the "Center for International Programs" JSC at the following link: https://bolashak.gov.kz/ru/pretendentu/specialnosti.
The following quota categories are provided for the award of scholarships within the framework of the "Bolashak" program: engineering and technical personnel, medical personnel, applicants from rural areas, as well as civil servants. Scholarship recipients of the quota category of the Bolashak international scholarship have the opportunity to undergo language training at the expense of the scholarship, as well as to enter a foreign university after its appointment.
In addition, the Republican Commission for Personnel Training Abroad has approved the following categories of employees for internships under the Bolashak program for 2025:
1) engineering and technical workers, workers in the agro-industrial complex, specialists in artificial intelligence;
2) teachers of preschool, secondary, technical and vocational education organizations, teachers and employees of higher and (or) postgraduate education organizations;
3) medical workers;
4) civil servants;
5) employees of the mass media;
6) employees of the culture, tourism and sports sectors;
7) judges and court employees.
The acceptance of documents for participation in the competitive selection for the award of scholarships under the "Scientific Internships" program began on March 3 and will end on October 31 ends.
The competitive selection will be held from April 1 to December 31, 2025. Applications for the "Scientific Internships" program are accepted in room 508 on the 5th floor of the "Center for International Programs" JSC office located at 70 Syganak Street, Astana. When training personnel abroad, priority is given to engineering, technical and medical specialties.
Applicants from other cities are given the opportunity to submit documents by proxy.
The "Scientific Internships" program was approved in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State in order to improve the skills of Kazakhstani scientists in leading scientific centers around the world. 250 scholarships have been allocated under the Scientific Internship Program for 2025.
The state covers the costs of academic studies, internships, round-trip flights, medical insurance, visa fees, and the purchase of educational materials, as well as paying a monthly stipend.
