10.04.2025 16:49:11 231"A demonstrative measure of business activity is a 6% increase in tax revenues to the budget from small and medium-sized businesses for a total of KZT37 billion only for the seven months of 2018. At the same time, the share of SMB proceeds from the total volume for the mentioned period has already made up more than 60%, namely 661.2 billions tenge," said Ilyas Userov.
According to him, the highly competitive environment is an important link in checking the business for demand on the part of the modern consumer.
"This is the main factor of leaving the market of uncompetitive entities, which is normal for market relations. In addition, the simplification of the procedure for removing the IP account from the account, enabled citizens, who have been in the status of IP, but who have not carried out entrepreneurial activities for various reasons, withdraw from this status. Since the beginning of the year, about 2 thousand SMB have been liquidated, which also affected the statistics of business accounting, in the form of a decrease in the number of operating SMB by 1.3%," he said.
He also added that today there is a positive trend in the share of SMB in the GRP of the city from 34% to 38.5%, and the output of SMEs increased by 9.8%.
"The state takes active measures to fully support and develop business. In 2018, 6.2 billions tenge was allocated for the implementation of the "Business Road Map 2020". Thanks to the work carried out, about 1000 jobs have been saved, more than 500 are planned to be created. The work already carried out today positively affects the performance of small and medium-sized businesses. Already, there is an increase in the output of SMB in comparison with the planned values determined by 2020. For example, the volume of output of SMB by the results of 2017 is 2.5 times higher than the planned values for 2020," concluded the head of the Economy and Budget Planning Department of Almaty
It is worth noting that today Almaty forms the fifth part of the country's GDP. At the same time, the city's economy is actively developing, as evidenced by the positive growth of important economic indicators. So, for 7 months of 2018 the volume of investments grew by 21.6%, retail trade - by 10.1%, wholesale - by 0.9%, construction - by 2.7%, industry - by 4.7%.
