Almaty Hippodrome and "Sayran" bus station are included in the preliminary list of historical and cultural heritage sites
10.04.2025 16:49:51 154On the basis of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Protection and Use of Historic and Cultural Heritage Sites", the inclusion of an object in the list of preliminary records is carried out in order to make it a monument of history and culture.
Prior to the final decision on the status, the facility is subject to protection on a par with the monuments of history and culture in accordance with this Law.
In accordance with the Law, the user is obliged to ensure the safety of the monument. So, it is forbidden to change the external appearance of the building, its redevelopment, the modification of load-bearing structures, extensions, the change of purpose and violation of the guard zone. Any measures related to the repair and reconstruction of the building are carried out with the approval of the authorized body.
It should be reminded that earlier Almaty’s governor Bauyrzhan Baibek instructed in accordance with the legislation to consider the inclusion of the bus station "Sayran" in the list of historical monuments of local importance. Later, the owner presented a preliminary concept of further development of the territory. It is planned to completely revise the transport logistics of the bus station and create a well-equipped railway station square with fountains, cafes, green areas and children's playgrounds.

In addition, by the decree of the executive committee of Almaty city, the agreement with JSC Atodent Center was canceled on the right of temporary lease of the land plot with the area of 23 hectares. After the management company of the Atakent CCCC, obligations were also made to return 8 hectares of privately owned land plots on a non-reimbursable basis. At the same time, the management of the exhibition complex will continue to work on the improvement of the territory in accordance with the concept of "Cities for pedestrians."
