In Pavlodar region Bakytzhan Sagintayev familiarized with modernization of the world largest mining and processing complex
10.04.2025 16:52:18 1420Today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited Bozshakol mining and processing complex, which had been built within the state Program of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev saw the schedule of works. The president of “KazMinerals PLC” O.Novachuk reported that the plant would produce 100000 tons of copper annually when it reached its designed capacity.

1500 workplaces have been created within the project. The complex uses advanced equipment, technologies and meets the international standards.

The project meets the global tasks, set by the Head of the State in the Address “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness” on technological modernization, raising labor productivity through the transfer of new technologies and growth of competitiveness.

FOR REFERENCE:
Bozshakol, located near Tort-Kuduk village of Pavlodar region, is one of the largest copper deposits in the world. Construction of the complex began in 2012. Commissioning works started on December 11,2015. The first copper concentrate was produced in February 2016.
The annual ore processing is 30 mln tons. On average, for forty years the annual production of copper will be 75000 tons. The complex also produces 5.26 million ounces of gold (production volume is 120000 ounces per year) and 57000 tons of molybdenum.
