May 26, 2017, within the framework of the VIII International Mining Metallurgical Congress and Exhibition "Astana Mining & Metallurgy" - AMM-2017, a discussion was held on the development of proposals for the development of the jewelry industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main topic for discussion was the creation of favorable conditions for the development of jewelry business in Kazakhstan.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the state bodies of the republic, as well as the heads of a number of companies LLP "Tau-Ken Altyn", JSC "National Agency for the Development of Local Content" NADLoC ", Assay Chamber of JSC" NACECC ", Center for Interstate and National Standardization, ULE and IP" League of Jewelers of Kazakhstan ", JSC" Kazakhuvelir "and other subjects of the jewelry industry.

An overview report was presented by Shynar Kazybayeva, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "Features of Import and Export of Precious Stones, Jewelry and Other Products from Precious Metals and Precious Stones".

In more detail, the report outlined the main innovations in the legislation on gemstones and jewelry, which were introduced from the beginning of 2016 in the context of 5 points and planned changes.

"The state control in the Republic will be applied in a new format. Thus, in the context of optimization of control and supervisory functions, the transition from inspections to a different form of control is planned, which has a preventive-preventive character," said the Deputy Chairman of the CTRM.

In addition, the questions of our domestic producers about the import of jewelry into our country from non-EEA countries and export to these countries and information support for the development of the jewelry industry with government support were discussed.

In the end, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology wished successful development of the jewelry industry in our country, promotion of domestic production and access to world markets, and producers of excellent products of creative potential, which is one of the important factors of laborious work.
