The anniversary award "Astana - Ardagym" will be awarded to people who lived or were born in the city of Almaty and made a certain contribution to the formation of Astana.

According to the Almaty City Culture Department, the "Astana-Ardagym" Prize will be awarded in 20 categories, incl. in the field of education and science, architecture and construction, health, sports, art and cinema, journalism and literature.

"Today Almaty by being a financial and economic magnet harmoniously complements the political center of our country - Astana," the executive committee of Almaty noted, recalling the words of the Head of State that "The destiny of Astana is the fate of all Kazakhstanis who boldly crossed the border of two centuries. This is the fate of an independent Kazakhstan that has gone the Great way from the unknown edge of a disintegrated superpower to a dynamic modern state that is known and respected in the global community."

The selection of nominees takes place with the participation of the competition commission through an open Internet voting at http://astana.ardaq.kz, which will end on December 9 at 00:00 hours in Astana time.

We remind you that the next year is an anniversary for the capital of Kazakhstan. A number of large-scale cultural events are planned in Almaty, including concerts, festivals, exhibitions dedicated to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital of Astana.
