In 2016 in Kostanay region within the framework of the Regional comprehensive plan to promote employment of measures of state support covered 23,1 thousand people from among the unemployed (19.4 per thousand), and unproductive employees (3.7 million people).

Of them are employed:

- for projects within the public and governmental programs, programs of development of regions - 2 thousand 909 people;

- social workplaces will receive 1 thousand 571 people;

- youth practice – 692 people;

- public works - 3 thousand 999 persons;

- professional training – 676 employees, of which 150 people were sent for training in the basics of entrepreneurship;

- employed without application of measures of state support of 12 thousand 472

- self-employed 188 people.

In addition, 577 people received microcredit to open or expand their business.
