CRNMPC is working to reduce existing tariffs
10.04.2025 16:57:26 330From November 12, 2018, Public receptions began to work in the territorial divisions of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Committee).
Public receptions are held in conjunction with branches of the Nur Otan Party, Atameken NPP, NGOs, subjects of natural monopolies and socially significant markets and are organized in regional centers, in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, as well as in cities of regional significance in order to ensure transparency of its activities and informing the public about the ongoing work to prevent unreasonable growth of utility tariffs.
According to their results, on the basis of received consumer complaints to date, the territorial subdivisions of the Committee initiated 6 unscheduled inspections of the activities of natural monopolies and socially significant markets for compliance with the legislation, including in the area of:
- heat supply - 3 unscheduled inspections (in Astana, West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions);
- water supply and sanitation - 1 unscheduled inspection (in Aktobe region);
- transmission of electrical energy and power supply - 1 unscheduled inspections (in Aktobe region);
- gas supply and transportation of natural gas - 1 unscheduled inspection (in the West Kazakhstan region).
Thus, according to the results of unscheduled inspections, the Committee and its territorial divisions will take appropriate response measures.
