In 2017, 32.4 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the payment of a childcare allowance for up to one year.
The average annual number of recipients of childcare allowance before reaching one year was 145.7 thousand people. At the same time, the amount of the benefit is differentiated depending on the order of the children from 13 070 tenge (for the first child, 15 452 - for the second child, 17 812 - for the third) to 20 195 tenge (for the fourth and more).
In 2018, KZT 36.8 billion will be allocated to non-working women for the care of a child for up to one year in the republican budget and the amount of the allowance, depending on the order of the children, will be from 13,853 tenge (for the first child, 16,379 for the second child, 18 880 - on the third) to 21,405 tenge (for the fourth and more children).
In 2017, from the state social insurance fund, working women received KZT 74.1 billion for social payments for child care for up to one year.
The average annual number of recipients of such payments was 230.9 thousand people. At the same time, the amount of social payment is 40% of the average monthly income for the last 2 years.
However, from the beginning of 2014, working women, while they are on parental leave for up to one year, are subsidized mandatory pension contributions, which contributes to an increase in their pension savings. The total volume of subsidies from the republican budget for the entire period (2014-2017) amounted to 16.5 billion tenge.
