The staff of the Ministry of labor honored the memory of victims of political repression
11.04.2025 00:12:29 396Today, on the day of memory of victims of political repression, the staff of the Ministry Of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Vice-Minister S. Zhakupova visited the Museum and memorial complex "ALGERIA".
Thus, during the visit, the staff of the Department laid a basket of flowers to the memorial, honored the memory of the victims of political repression with a minute of silence, and planted trees on the territory adjacent to the complex.
It should be noted that in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on the rehabilitation of victims of mass political repression", monetary compensation is paid to persons subjected to unjustified repression and rehabilitated persons.
In total, for the period from 2003 to 2017, one-time monetary compensation from the Republican budget was paid in the amount of 2.9 billion tenge.
In addition, victims of political repression, persons affected by political repression, persons with disabilities or pensioners, regardless of other types of social benefits, are paid a special state allowance.
For the period from 2005 to 2017, the GSP from the national budget was paid in the amount of 8.9 billion tenge.
The number of GSP recipients among the victims of mass political repressions and victims of political repressions as of May 1, 2017 amounted to 34 682 people.
Also, according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan rehabilitated citizens with disabilities or who are pensioners have a number of additional rights and benefits.
At the same time, the local Executive bodies, by decision of local representative bodies, heads of organizations of public associations within their rights and competence, establish additional measures to provide material and other types of assistance at the expense of the relevant budgets.
At the same time, the current legislation recognizes children of victims of political repression who were with their parents or their surrogates, as well as children of victims of political repression who have not reached the age of eighteen at the time of repression and as a result of its use left without parental care as victims of political repression.
At the same time, a draft Law is currently under consideration by the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides for amendments to the treatment of children left without the care of one of the parents to those affected by political repression.
