On March 18, the Ministers of labor and social protection of population, education, Vice-Minister of health care, as well as the akim of Astana met with large families.

Head of the Ministry of labor Berdibek Saparbayev said that from July 1, 2019 will be increased wages of individual employees of the public sector up to 30%.

"This will directly affect more than 1 million civil servants engaged in health care, education, social protection, culture, sports, agriculture. These are workers from 1 to 8 categories, employees of support (technical), administrative and main personnel" - Berdibek Saparbayev.

The Minister also spoke about the execution of the President's instruction to expand the coverage of Address social assistance to low-income families, large families with low incomes.

"We are improving the mechanism of appointment of ASA. In particular, the criterion for the purpose of assistance will increase from 50% to 70% of the subsistence minimum per person, that is, from 14 849 to 20 789 KZT this year. In addition, every month for each child from a low-income family will be paid guaranteed assistance in the amount of 70% of the subsistence minimum (20 789 KZT). The size of the ASA for adult family members will be calculated as before," Minister Berdibek Saparbayev concluded.

Head of department explained the changes on the example of a particular family, which consists of a mother and four children, has no income from work, but only receives a special state allowance for large families in the amount of 10 504 KZT (when appointed until 1.01.2018).

"For this family, taking into account the new criteria, the appointed ASA will be 103 945 KZT or will grow by 63% compared to the size of the ASA under the current system – 63 741 KZT," the Minister explained.

Mothers with many children who came to the meeting were interested in obtaining housing, as well as the presence of a residence permit when receiving the ASA.

Head of the Ministry of labor Berdibek Saparbayev noted that today the issue of creating a separate queue for housing from the state fund for mothers with many children, awarded the suspension "Altyn Alka" is being worked out. Regarding the second issue, it was noted that the Ministry of internal affairs will take the necessary measures to solve it.
