New York, April 18, 2025 - the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, entitled «On World Unity for a Just Peace, Harmony and Development», which was presented at the SCO Plus Summit held in Astana on 4 July 2024, has been circulated at the United Nations as an official document of the General Assembly (A/79/807) and the Security Council (S/2025/132).

Endorsed by the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the initiative aims to strengthen multilateral cooperation and promote a more just, inclusive and democratic international order with the central coordinating role of the UN.

The key elements of the document include a call for a joint search for a Formula for a Just Peace, the expansion of global dialogue, and a focus on sustainable economic development, food security, and effective action against climate change.
