TURKSOY Secretary General highly appreciated the event held in Aktau

Today, on April 7, Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai met with Secretary General of the International Organization TURKSOY Sultan Raev. The meeting summed up the results of the opening ceremony of the international event "Aktau – the cultural capital of the Turkic world", held on April 5, and discussed plans for the future.

The sides exchanged views on the quality and content of the cultural events planned by the end of the year.

At the meeting, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev noted that the important event was organized at a high level, expressing gratitude.

- Such a large-scale, significant and ideologically profound event has never been held before. Actually, I didn't expect this to happen. In the ethnoaula, we witnessed true brotherhood and unity of people who showed true hospitality. The participants and artists are very pleased," Sultan Raev said.

In his speech, Akim of the region Nurdaulet Kilybai focused on the historical and cultural identity of Mangystau.

- Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev noted that "further strengthening cooperation between peoples having the same roots and traditions is our common duty." Indeed, it is impossible not to have culture in the place where such great personalities as Abyl and Yesir, Kashagan, Sugir and Abish Kekilbayev were born. It is a source of spirituality, a center of culture. About 100,000 people gathered at the event "Aktau – the capital of the Turkic world" and proved the cultural potential of Mangystau. I am sure that by the end of the year we will carry out the planned events at the same high level," said Nurdaulet Kilybai.
