Cairo, April 6, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Askar Zhengis held a meeting with the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Rania al-Mashat.

During the meeting, Ambassador presented an invitation to participate in the Astana International Forum, scheduled for May, 2025. Minister al-Mashat expressed gratitude for the invitation and confirmed her attendance in the Forum.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of substantive and organizational issues related to the Sixth Meeting of the Kazakhstan-Egypt Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Cultural, Humanitarian, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, scheduled to be held in Astana this year, in which Rania Al-Mashat serves as the co-chair from the Egyptian side.

In addition, an exchange of views and discussion of prospects for developing cooperation in a number of areas within the competence of Minister Rania al-Mashat took place, including economic development, external financing, cooperation with international financial and economic organizations, achieving sustainable development goals, partnership projects, transition to a green economy, increasing the participation of women and youth in the private sector, innovation and entrepreneurship.

At the conclusion of the discussion, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Kazakh-Egyptian cooperation and arranging future joint activities.
