KazAID and JICA strengthen cooperation
22 January, 2026 – Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan International Development Agency «KazAID» A.Arystanov held a meeting with the Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. H.Tanabe and Advisor for Cooperation Ms. M.Uehara and other representatives of JICA in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed regional cooperation in monitoring and evaluating projects in Central Asian countries. The sides also noted achievements in organizing joint projects.
The Japanese side shared its experience and knowledge on project management and project monitoring and evaluation systems based on the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle. PDCA principles are used by JICA to evaluate projects both at the preliminary analysis stage and during implementation and post-project review. This approach ensures transparency and efficient use of resources, as well as the implementation of lessons learned in future projects.
At the end of the meeting, the sides confirmed their intention to continue cooperation aimed at sustainable development of the region and expressed interest in exchanging experience and implementing joint projects.
