By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Asan Kobentaevich Darbayev was appointed to the post of Vice Minister of National Economy. This was reported by the press service of the Government.

He was born in 1984 in Akmola region. He graduated from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, the Kazakh Economic University named after T. Ryskulov, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the University of Warwick (Great Britain).

From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a leading specialist in the structure of the Ministry of Finance.

From 2006 to 2009, he worked in the antimonopoly sphere as a chief specialist in territorial divisions.

2009-2010 - manager at JSC «Center for Development and Protection of Competition Policy» and the Association of Legal Entities «Kazakh Association of Oil and Gas and Energy Complex Organizations KazEnergy».

2013-2015 held positions from deputy director to head of the Office of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2015-2019 - Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2019 to the present - Chairman of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
