Cooperation with Kazakhstan discussed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece

A meeting between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece Timur Sultangozhin and Dimitris Michalopoulos, Director of Political Department "A5" of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, responsible for cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries, was held in Athens.

During the meeting, the sides conducted a detailed review of the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the necessity of intensifying political dialogue, exchanges of visits at various levels, and enhancing trade-economic and investment cooperation.

Special attention was paid to expanding the bilateral legal framework to ensure further development of Kazakh-Greek relations.

During the talks, the sides identified priority areas for cooperation, including energy, transport and logistics, tourism, and agriculture.

Ambassador T. Sultangozhin highlighted the importance of intensifying interaction between business communities of the two countries, noting Kazakhstan’s interest in attracting Greek investments and jointly implementing new economic projects.

In turn, D. Michalopoulos confirmed the high level of bilateral relations between Greece and Kazakhstan and expressed readiness of the Greek side to further deepen cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on current issues of the regional and international agenda.
