April 12 of 2017 Minister of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kasymbek met with Ambassadors of Arab countries in Kazakhstan. Ambassadors of Lebanon, Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, as well as diplomats from the embassies of the UAE, Iraq, and Palestine took part in the meeting.

During the meeting cooperation perspectives in investment sphere proposed by Ambassadors of Arab countries. To be more detailed, implementation of signing of the Agreements on Protection and Promotion of Investments, joint investment projects, measures to create favorable conditions for foreign investors, which is adopted by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Arab side expressed their interest in a detailed study of the incentive package and investment and tax incentives for investors.

Presently there is an Agreement with Qatar on Protection of Investments, as well as working on signing relevant documents with UAE, Saudi Arabia Kingdom, Lebanon, and Oman.

Moreover, it’s been highlighted that the Ministry will send the list of investment projects that need investments to Embassies.
