The "Counterfact" operative preventive action was conducted to detect, suppress and disclose criminal offenses in the field of information and communication, as well as to identify those who unlawfully manufacture and distribute products that are prohibited in free circulation.

In the course of the operation, law-enforcement bodies revealed 167 offenses, including 115 violations of copyright and related rights, unauthorized access to information, illegal use of special technical means, fraud against Internet users.
There are 8,600 units of products that are banned in free circulation, including more than 8,000 counterfeit CD-DVD disks and 11 flash cards, 18 carriers with pornography content, 14 with unlicensed software, and 116 other storage media were confiscated.
In addition, a shop in Zhambyl region, which manufactured counterfeit products, was identified.
