On 7 October 2019, K. Syroezhkin has been convicted of high treason under the paragraph 1 article 175 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan by specialized inter-district court in criminal cases in Almaty. The accused was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in the maximum security institution and deprived of Kazakh citizenship.
