During the event, the issues of compliance with labor safety, as well as current problems and measures taken to solve them were considered.

The seminar was attended by: Deputy Akim of the Aktobe region Marat Tokzhanov, representatives of NC Kazmunaigas JSC, the Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NPP Atameken, RGKP RNIIOT MTSZN RK, JSC Company for life insurance "GAK RK" and akimats of the 5 above-mentioned regions.

“Ensuring safe working conditions is one of the most important priorities of the Ministry of Labor. This year, within the framework of the Safe Labor information campaign, we are planning to hold 4 cluster seminars in the regions, with the participation of social partners (NPP Atameken, Federation of Trade Unions) and representatives of interested government bodies. Only our joint efforts aimed at creating favorable working conditions for employees will be able to reduce professional risks, ”said the Chief State Labor Inspector of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tolegen Ospankulov, opening the event.

Speaking at the seminar, T. Ospankulov noted the importance of reducing the number of jobs with harmful working conditions. To date, 497 thousand workers of Kazakhstan are employed in harmful and dangerous working conditions, for whom the employers deduct compulsory professional pension contributions in the amount of 5% of the employee's income.

“According to the authorized body for statistics, out of 1.6 million employees surveyed in 2018 at enterprises for working conditions, 373 thousand or every fourth (22.3%) were employed in harmful and dangerous working conditions. In the past year, 676 thousand workers received various compensations for work in hazardous working conditions. For these purposes, employers have allocated 116.3 billion tenge, which is 8% more than in 2017, "Ospankulov said.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared 2019 the Year of Labor Safety and Health. In this regard, the republic will host several events dedicated to this topic. This seminar is one of them. Its main goal is to unite the efforts of government agencies, businesses and public organizations to ensure safe working conditions at work.

Following the seminar, the Chief State Labor Inspector of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tolegen Ospankulov, gave appropriate specific recommendations to the participants of the event on the organization of labor safety and protection.

In addition, the participants of the seminar visited an enterprise with zero injuries - the Aktobe branch of KazTransOil JSC, where the employer provides significant funding for the organization of safe working conditions. This enterprise is a participant of the IX-th International Conference and Exhibition on Labor Protection and Industrial Safety "KIOSH 2019", as well as the competition of social responsibility "Paryz"
