The World Grappling Championship among cadets, schoolchildren, youth and veterans ended in Baku (Azerbaijan).
In the discipline of grappling-gi, in their weight and age categories, the Kyzylorda athletes Aiganym Bektibaeva, Nurtileu Nuradinov and Esirkep Seitbek won bronze medals.
Grappling is a melee style in which the technique of all wrestling disciplines is combined.
Athletes from 25 countries took part in the competitions. In the team event, the Kazakhstan team took second place.
