A memorandum of understanding was signed for the implementation of the “English for Success” project.
14.04.2025 09:37:51 1614On January 18, 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Akimat of the Mangistau Region and the British Council with the support of Tengizchevroil for the implementation of the “English for Success” project. The document was signed by the deputy akim of the region R.K.Sakeev and Jim Battery, Director of the British Council in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The event was attended by a consultant from the University of Leicester in the UK, deputy general director of the government and public relations department of Tengizchevroil LLP, deputies of the regional maslikhat, deputies of the city district, mayors of cities, heads of district and city departments of education, heads of educational institutions and media representatives.
The goal of “English for Success” project is to prepare teachers of English and natural languages in the region for English.
As part of the project, language clubs and trainings will be organized for 172 teachers of English and natural language, as well as a two-year course in English and English for teachers and students.
As a result, graduates will be able to learn three languages and improve the status of their region, since they need it to live and work in a global world.
In addition, the Department of Education plans to implement joint projects with the British Council in the field of IT centers, Competence Centers and strengthening the material and technical base of technical and vocational education institutions.
