As part of the "rukhani zhangyru" Program, teachers of the methodical Association of history and geography of Tekeli visited one of the most picturesque corners of the Zhongar Alatau – in The cherkasay gorge.
Locals otherwise call this place the gorge of 80 waterfalls, because you can really count a large number of them here. It is difficult to say how much in reality. Local historian L. Sergievskaya said that were able to count 15.
And the gorge is also famous for the population of a very rare endangered species of reptiles-the Semirechensk frogtooth, or jongar newt. They are admired by the protruding rocks everywhere, clean springs, spruce and birch groves, and the magnificent mountain air.
The teachers visited one of the waterfalls, tasted the water from the radon spring, and took a few memorable photos. During the rest at the tourist base, they played volleyball.
According to the head of the methodological Association, gulzhakhan Koshtayeva, all colleagues support her idea to organize excursions themselves in order to get acquainted with her native land.
