A regular meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the meeting, the results of last year's work in accordance with the action plan for the management of national security risks for 2021-2025 adopted for the implementation of the National Security Strategy were considered. At the meeting of the Council, issues that still need to be worked out, including public, economic, environmental and informational security issues were discussed.

The President pointed out that the implementation of the National Security Strategy should be evaluated with concrete results. It is of great importance for the society. At the same time, the security factor of citizens and the state should be taken into account during the development of all spheres.

In addition, the meeting discussed the actual issues of the fight against terrorism and extremism.

Chairman of the National Security Committee Ermek Sagimbaev reported on the measures being taken to reduce the risk of terrorist and extremist activities, as well as to strengthen defense against terrorism.

According to the meeting, a specific task was given to state bodies.
