Enbekminy and ICO discussed issues of cooperation in 2025

The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askarbek Ertaev met with Artur Erken, Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration (hereinafter - IOM) for Europe and Central Asia. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strategic partnership in the field of migration and protection of Kazakhstani workers abroad.

Askarbek Ertaev noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection) (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection) is conducting systematic work on the protection of the rights of Kazakhstani migrants. work on drafting memorandums is underway. Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, the Republic of Korea, Germany, and Qatar are among the countries where these agreements have been reached or where relevant work is being carried out," said the vice-minister.

He noted that the IOM can play a key role in assisting the signing of such agreements, as well as in monitoring their implementation.

In turn, Artur Erken, focusing on the long-term fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and the IOM, IOM Migration Committee noted the important and decisive role of the "Almaty Process" for the European and Central Asian regions, of which it is the permanent coordinator.

According to the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue long-term cooperation within the framework of existing agreements.
