Thermal power plant, water supply and gasification: large-scale infrastructure projects are implemented in Akmola region

In the region, large-scale projects aimed at the development of heating, water and electricity networks, as well as gasification, have been launched. Regional akim Marat Akhmetzhanov announced this at the maslikhat session.
Construction of a new thermal power plant in Kokshetau is one of the main projects. The works started in August last year, and by 2028, the station will provide the city with a reliable and environmentally friendly heating system. The station with a capacity of 240 MW of electricity and 520 Gcal/h of heat will reduce harmful emissions and provide stable heat. In 2024, 20 billion tenge will be allocated for the modernization of heating networks, which will improve heating for 24 thousand subscribers and reduce wear and tear of networks. The reconstruction of the Nura water pipeline was completed, and residents of Yegindykol district were provided with drinking water. Water treatment plants have been built in Kokshetau, which are expected to be put into operation soon.
In the field of electricity supply, 43 kilometers of new lines will be laid this year, and the construction of two substations will begin in Kokshetau and Kosshy.
Gasification works are being carried out at a fast pace: 17 villages in the Arshaly district have been supplied with gas, this year gas will be supplied to the village of Nurly, and by the end of the year to 9 more settlements, including Kosshy, Koyandy. and gas is supplied to the Claimant's villages. This will provide gas supply to 150,000 residents.
"These projects will improve the living conditions of the region's residents and make the energy system reliable and environmentally friendly," noted the regional akim.
