"Law and order": compliance officers of Almaty region were taught new methods of identifying corruption risks

The department of anti-corruption service in Almaty region held a practice-oriented seminar for its compliance officers on the assessment and reduction of corruption risks in the quasi-state sector. The event aimed at promoting the ideology of "law and order" was held at the square of the Ile district administration and gathered experts from various organizations of the region. During the seminar, the main aspects of the work of the compliance service, international standards of risk assessment, as well as the introduction of effective anti-corruption mechanisms were considered. "On Action" was transferred to the changes made to the Law. In addition, an updated procedure for evaluating the work of compliance officers aimed at increasing transparency and accountability was proposed.

Participants discussed successful cases of identifying corruption risks within the framework of the seminar. In particular, examples of state procurement monitoring, drug supply control in medical institutions, and introduction of cashless payments in cultural organizations were given.

At the end of the event, the participants were reminded of the need for regular accountability and responsibility for not taking anti-corruption measures. The anti-corruption service expressed its readiness to provide methodological support to compliance officers and to continue work on improving the anti-corruption system in the region.
