An exhibition dedicated to the art of Uzbek embroidery was opened in the National Museum

An international exhibition entitled "Patterns in heritage: a journey to Uzbekistan's embroidery and sewing traditions" was opened at the National Museum.

122 unique handicrafts from the funds of 6 leading museums of Uzbekistan were presented at the exposition:

- State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan;
- State Museum of Timurid History;
- Samarkand State Museum-Reserve;
- State Art Museum of Uzbekistan;
- I.V. Karakalpakstan State Art Museum named after Savitsky;
- Bukhara State Museum-Reserve.

These works of art are not only hand-made masterpieces, but also a reflection of the deep symbolism of the cultural heritage of Central Asia. We express our sincere gratitude to our colleagues who organized such an important event. Such events strengthen cultural ties and make a great contribution to deepening the friendship between peoples," said Yevgeny Kochetov, Vice-Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The exhibition will be presented to the public until June 1, 2025.
