Measures against floods continue in the region. To date, 1.3 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the settlements of the region, of which 900,000 belong to Petropavlovsk. Now the city services are giving priority to water pumping works, especially in the Bereke, Ryboschy and Birlik compact districts.

Today SKO mayor Gavez Nurmukhambetov inspected the situation in the Birlik compact district, observed the ongoing works and talked with the residents. 20 motor pumps and 10 sanitation machines are working for pumping water in this compact area, as well as special equipment of fire fighting service. Ditches have been dug for water drainage, and a storm sewer system will be built this year. 

According to the requests, the crews will urgently go to the address and carry out water pumping.

"I regularly visit settlements to monitor the flood situation and take immediate action," the head of the region wrote on the social network.  In case of need, there are motor pumps in reserve, 50 new motor pumps were purchased this year.
