Akim of SKO Gavez Nurmukhambetov Sergeev went to the water junction and listened to the leaders' reports about the current flood situation in the region. The overflow of the Sergeev reservoir is now 35 cm. We remind you that last year's record level was 425 cm.

"In general, the situation in the region is stable. Due to the rapid melting of snow, temporary flooding occurred on regional and district roads, but traffic restrictions were not imposed, and there is no risk of flooding in settlements. Akimats and the police organized round-the-clock duty. Additional rescuers and special equipment were sent to areas with a high risk of flooding," the head of the region wrote on social media.

Water in the region measures are being taken against the flood. Water pumping continues, laying of concrete slabs and covers on the dams is being completed. 2 thousand pipes inside settlements were cleaned, 500 km of land near the village was blackened, 200 thousand cubic meters of ditches were cleaned, 119 thousand bags were prepared, 1.5 million cubic meters of snow was removed. 

The Academy of the National Guard, the military department of the Karaganda Military District, and the military department of territorial defense in Petropavlovsk were mobilized for anti-flood measures. The flood situation is under constant control of the regional leadership.
