Arhimed Mukhambetov, who arrived in Yekaterinburg, met with the governor of Sverdlov region Yevgeny Kuyvashev and discussed ways to strengthen economic ties between the two regions. The Kazakh delegation included employees of the regional akimat and "Tobyl" social business corporation. "For us, Sverdlov region is considered a close colleague from a strategic point of view. Thanks to the friendly relations of the leaders of the two countries, all conditions have been created for the growth of internal trade. I believe that today's meeting will further improve economic relations between the two sides. This is because we will meet here with potential investors, company managers and hold a meeting in B2B format. Now we have completed the construction of the industrial zone in Kostanay, so we have the opportunity to allocate space to investors in the region. Archimed Mukhambetov spoke about the pace of development of the auto plant in the Tobyl-Torgai region. According to the head of the region, last year 6 thousand cars were put on the market in Kostanay. Now this year it is planned to double this figure and increase the number of vehicles to 12 thousand. As it became known during the business trip, businessmen of Sverdlov region are requesting the "Jac" car from Kostanay. They were especially interested in the S3 model of the car. The governor of Sverdlov region fully supported the proposals of his Kazakh colleague. "We are in close contact with regions in Kazakhstan. In 2017, Kazakhstan is one of the leading countries in terms of turnover. The volume of domestic trade increased by 30% and amounted to more than 1 billion US dollars. Your visit here will further strengthen the partnership between the two regions," said Yevgeny Kuyvashev.

Akimat of Kostanay region and management of Sverdlov region signed a bilateral agreement on economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. At the end of the meeting, Archimed Mukhambetov wished success to the Russian national team at the ongoing World Championship. He also invited his Russian colleagues to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Astana, which will be held in Kazakhstan.

As part of his working trip to the Sverdlov region, Archimed Mukhambetov also held meetings with the heads of Kompozit Group holding, Sibeko, Krasnogvardeysk Machine Assembly Plant, Vek Plant JSC and Keterinburg. Each of them is interested in the Kazakhstan market, including increasing relations with the Kostanay region.

For example, according to Maxim Lebedev, development director of the Keterinburg company, there is an interest in implementing and investing in projects in Kazakhstan, especially in the Kostanay region. In order to strengthen the country's foreign economic relations, systematic cooperation has been started between the administration of Kostanay region and Russia's Sverdlov, Chelyabinsk, Korgan, Orynbor, Ombi, Kaluga regions and the Republic of Tatarstan.
