In order to ensure the sanitary-epidemiological health of the population, the Department of Sanitary-Epidemiological Control of the city of Shymkent and its district administrations will carry out sanitary-epidemiological monitoring (hereinafter - SEM) of the state of environmental objects.

In the course of conducting SEM in the first quarter of 2025, 284 water samples for sanitary-chemical indicators and 70 water samples for microbiological indicators will be taken from centralized water pipes. were examined, including non-compliance with hygienic standards.

In the course of the SEM, 8 samples from water bodies of the II category were examined for microbiological indicators, sanitary-chemical indicators, 70 water samples were examined for microbiological indicators, including non-compliance with hygienic standards. 5595 samples of atmospheric air were taken from the territory of the city during the SEM, including samples that exceeded the maximum permissible concentration (MLC).

42 soil samples were examined for sanitary-chemical and bacteriological indicators in settlements, recreation areas, sanitary protection zones of domestic and drinking water sources.
