The issue of attracting investments was discussed at the meeting of the administration of SKO. Last year, 556 billion tenge were invested in the economy of the region, of which 420 billion tenge were the funds of private investors.

This year, the main focus of investment is on the implementation of projects in the field of manufacturing industry. It is planned to launch 11 new projects in the amount of 87 billion tenge, which will create 1.1 thousand new jobs. Among them is the construction of a factory for the production of confectionery products, a factory for the production of lifting and transporting equipment and bridge cranes, as well as a wood processing enterprise.

It is planned to implement 35 projects in the amount of 72 billion tenge in agriculture. These are dairy farms, irrigation projects, processing of agricultural products and other important areas.

According to the conclusion of the council, the governor of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov instructed to take the necessary measures to fully open the investment potential of the region, to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for attracting investors focused on the main areas, and to create a list of promising investment projects with support measures. The head of the region noted that district governors should systematically work on attracting investors.
