Tbilisi, March 23, 2025 - In Abanotubani, the historical center of the capital of Georgia, a solemn event dedicated to the spring holiday Nauryz was held.

The holiday was organized by the embassies of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey and Turkmenistan, as well as diasporas and cultural centers of these countries with the support of the Tbilisi City Hall. Residents of the city, as well as tourists from various countries who are visiting Georgia these days, took part in the ceremony.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi City Council Chairman (Sakrebulo) Georgiy Tkemaladze and other official representatives of Georgia took part in the event. According to the tradition of the Kazakh people, the chief guest was covered with a national cloak.

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Georgia Malik Myrzalin in his congratulatory speech noted that Nauryz is a holiday of unity and harmony, as well as a truly national holiday that contributes to the strengthening of friendship and mutual respect. He told about the new format of celebrating the spring holiday, the ten days of "Nauryznam".

Tbilisi city head Kakha Kaladze made a congratulatory speech and noted the importance and relevance of the international Nauryz holiday in establishing close friendship between our peoples. I would like to thank all of you for celebrating a bright holiday in the capital of Georgia, Nauryz holiday (Novruz Bayram) has been celebrated as a public holiday in Georgia since 2010.

During the cultural program, the "Oren" drum ensemble of Mangistau regional philharmonic named after Murat Uskinbaev, as well as traditional and pop singers Akmaral Argynovna, Ainur Omarova, Daniyar Kenzhegali, Sabit Shektibayev presented his art. Skilled performance of famous Kazakh tunes and popular works received special applause from the audience.

At the festival, the athletes of the Georgian Federation "Kazakh wrestling" performed, this spectacle aroused the interest of foreigners in Kazakh national wrestling, which is the result of the synthesis of many traditional forms of wrestling.

Guests of the holiday, residents and tourists of Tbilisi happily got acquainted with the exhibits: national clothes and jewelry. A rich table was served with traditional Kazakh dishes, the main dish of the spring holiday - Nauryz kozhe. Each participant, each guest not only showed the history and culture of their homeland, but also got acquainted with the amazing world of national creativity of different countries.
