The annual "Career Marathon" alumni fair was organized at the East Kazakhstan Technical University (ESTU) within the framework of the Year of Working Professions. More than 60 employers from all over the country took part in the fair and presented students and graduates with vacancies, internships and career growth opportunities.

This fair became an effective platform for communication between business and young professionals. Employers provided comprehensive information about their activities, terms of employment and ways of professional development. The participants had the opportunity to leave their resumes, go through preliminary interviews and enter the personnel reserve of the companies. This increases the likelihood of successful employment.

- Such fairs help students learn about new vacancies and employer requirements, and help graduates find promising career opportunities. Also, such events contribute to the growth of employment indicators, said Svetlana Trofimenko, director of the Career Center of the State Technical University of Ukraine.
The organizers paid special attention to the graduates of previous years and provided them with relevant information about professions in demand in the region. In addition, within the framework of the fair, a presentation of the IZBASAR program of the Kazatomprom company, aimed at adapting young specialists, and a briefing on career opportunities in the force structures of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held.

- It was very useful. I considered several options for my future career, said Nurasyl Anuarbekov, a 3rd-year student of the "Automation and Management" educational program. About 300 students and graduates took part in the fair. Most of them not only found suitable vacancies, but also received invitations for internships from various companies in the country.

- We work closely with graduates: most of them get industrial experience with us, and the best ones get jobs. Today we noticed a high interest of students, most of them brought their resumes, we hope to meet them again in the upcoming final interviews, - said Irina Savushkina, personnel manager of the "1C-Rating" group of companies.
The fair is primarily considered a tool for professional orientation. It not only helps young people to find a job, but also develops their business contacts and contributes to laying a solid foundation for their future career.
