About 60 dominant sports are identified in Kazakhstan
In recent years, there has been a tendency to redistribute budget resources. The main attention is paid to the development of mass and youth sports. In this regard, the maximum level of financing of professional sports clubs is established. One of the main innovations was the identification of about 60 priority sports. This list includes disciplines included in the programs of the Olympics, Paralympics, Deaflympics, Asian and Para-Asian Games, as well as non-Olympic sports and national sports represented in the Asian and Para-Asian Games. Serik Zharasbayev, Vice-Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced this at a press conference held in OKK.
