Epizootic health is an important criterion of biological and food safety, which determines the timely and high-quality performance of veterinary measures, as well as the development of animal husbandry, the quality of animal husbandry products and raw materials. Ensuring epizootic health and biosecurity of animals is the main task of the state veterinary service. Veterinarians often visit farms and private households of citizens to carry out veterinary-sanitary measures.

Veterinary measures are anti-epizootic measures that include the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases of animals, measures to protect the public from animal diseases, to ensure veterinary health, as well as to increase the productivity of animals, animal products and raw materials, fodder and fodder other measures aimed at ensuring the safety of mixtures, identification of agricultural animals. If veterinary activities are carried out systematically, the epizootic situation will improve significantly.

Veterinary activities against highly dangerous animal diseases:

      1) veterinary-sanitary clean in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of veterinary medicine in order to prevent the occurrence of diseases common to animals and humans and food poisoning, keeping animals, animal products and raw materials, veterinary drugs, fodder in the territory;

2) in order to prevent and eliminate the spread of highly dangerous animal diseases, including restrictive measures or quarantine, are carried out in the epicenter, at the point where the disease is spread, in the control zone, in the protective zone.

Veterinary activities against highly dangerous diseases (prevention, diagnosis, eradication) are carried out for diseases included in the list of highly dangerous animal diseases, whose prevention, diagnosis and eradication are carried out at the expense of the budget.

Individuals and legal entities (owners of animals) must carry out the measures provided for in Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Veterinary Medicine", i.e.:

- ensure identification of agricultural animals;

- ensure timely vaccination and diagnosis of their animals to ensure veterinary and sanitary safety;

- veterinary assists specialists in the field in performing their duties during the implementation of veterinary measures.

Livestock will survive the epidemic only if they are fully covered by all veterinary treatment measures, as a result of which the population consumes safe animal products.
